AT BIKES - FAT PARTIES - FAT FUN
Kingdom Trails and Mountain Bike Vermont have partnered once again for the 8th annual WinterBike Fatbike Festival on March 2, 2019. The year brings the largest Winterbike yet: more pedaling people, more groomed trails, more festivities, more fun!
Registration for the event gives you access to the Kingdom Trails network and all Winterbike activities on Saturday including group rides, fatbike demos, lunch and beverages, music, fire, games, race spectation, and swag!
Frosted Fatty Weekend Schedule:
Join Spirit Mountain, Columbia Sportswear, Frost River and Red Bull in this third year of winter downhill fat bike racing at Spirit Mountain. The Frosted Fatty is growing even “fatter” this year. The Fat Bike celebration at the regions only lift-access fat bike ski area continues with a two-day Bike Festival. Experience bike demos, food, beverage, music and more!
Races to include Fat Bike XC, Staged Downhill and Head to Head Dual Slalom, where bikers, skiers and snowboarders race it out for a $500 cash prize!!
Come test the 2018 demos and 2019 innovations from many retailers and manufacturers. The demos are free.
For those who are interested in a fatbike downhill race, we have the event for you: King of the Mountain presented by SPORT OLYMPE.
The fatbike downhill race consists of having two identical tracks one next to the other. Two competitors leave at the same time in a track each and it's the first one made down! The rules will be published shortly on the Facebook page of the event.
In addition, competitors have four minimum runs as they will play in a double elimination board.
This event is organized by a student and his teammates from Saint-Jean-Eudes High School.
The Stowe Derby is one of the oldest and most unique ski races in North America. It started in 1945 as a personal challenge between two amazing skiers- Austrian, Sepp Ruschp who was hired to come to America and head the new ski school at Stowe and Erling Strom, a world famous mountaineer from Norway. The challenge was the same as it is today – a race from the top of Mt. Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak to the historic village of Stowe…on a single pair of skis. The ultimate test of a skiers ability. Ruschp was the winner of the first Stowe Derby.
Join us Saturday, January 5th, 2019 for a day of fatbike group rides, demos, and hearty brews around warm fires.
Now in its seventh year, Uberwintern 2019 will be staged out of Ranch Camp, situated on the Cady Hill trailhead. The "remote aid station" a.k.a party central will be moved to the fire pit at the outside space in front of the von Trapp Brewery where complementary brews will be poured for attendees.
This year, kick off the new year on 2 wheels and fat tires! Kingdom Trails grooms over 25 miles of singletrack trails for fatbiking and on New Year's Day we will host a fatbike demo day to give you the chance to either shop for your new fatbike, or try it out for the first time to see if you like it.
East Burke Sports and the Village Sport Shop will be on site at the Kingdom Trail Nordic Center. Bike demos start at 9AM and available for 45 minute time slots with the last bikes going out at 3PM. The Demo will be followed by an after party in the Spokeasy Lounge next door where attendees can redeem their free drink ticket and qualify to win swag!
